Congratulations
We would like to congratulate Bro. Chris Burkett, who was presented with the Wade Hampton Lodge
Mason of the Year. Bro. Burkett worked tirelessly throughout the year to serve our lodge. He was highly instrumental in the coaching of every candidate this year. Not only did he coach these candidates, but each of these candidates tested extremely high on their proficiency. Bro. Burkett performed his duties as Junior Warden with the same high standards. The Lodge was served well at each and every communication, whether we had a regular attendance or record setting attendance. Whether in front of the craft or behind the scenes Chris has displayed the leadership, humilty, and fortitude that made him a wise choice to be named Master Mason of the Year for 2011
We would also like to congratulate our Worshipful Master-Elect Mark Bennett on being elected to serve our lodge in the upcoming year as Master of the greatest lodge in South Carolina. And though he has big shoes to fill after the outstanding leadership displayed this past year by Worshipful Mike Richards, everyone is confident that the tradition of leadership in this lodge will continue. And to all the Brothers who were elected, appointed and installed into areas of leadership for the up coming year, we congratulate you and look forward to your service and leadership. A list of new officers and contact information will be posted by December 27.
And finally, congratulations to Worshipful Mike Richards for an outstanding year. Through his leadership our lodge we have begun expanding our reach to the community. We have begun to touch the lives of elementary students who go home for the weekend with no food, by helping provide them something to eat for the weekend during the school year. We have begun to active search for avenues to serve our community as well. He has continued the high standard of excellence in the workings of the lodge from everyone. He has encouraged envolvement from everyone from an Entered Apprentice to the Grand Master. We are grateful for
all he has brought to this lodge, from before his time as Master to all the years of future service he will bring.
Welcome to our Grand Master!!
It was an honor and a privilege to have at our lodge this past month, Most Worshipful Brother Jay Adam Pearson, Grand Master of Masons of South Carolina and a Friend to Wade Hampton Lodge. MWB Pearson came for an official visit at our Third Degree Communication put on by the Hejaz Past Masters Unit. We were able to present to the Grand Master with his honorary membership to Wade Hampton Lodge. The Grand Master has done many things through the years to support our lodge and its brothers and his honoary membership was a long time coming. Finally, his schedule allowed him to come visit to where we were able to make this presentation. Thank you MWB Pearson for all you have done, are doing, and will do for the benefit of Masonry.

Need Your Help!!!
As we enter the realm of computer communication, we will be looking for all kinds of information. If you have any interesting stories, historical facts of the lodge, education helps, or any other news of note, please let us know. We will sort through them all and look into placing some of them either on this site or in our upcoming newsletters. Please send these notes of interest to Brother Malcolm Burgess at MalcolmOnSax@charter.net .
